so, team rocket

i'm finally getting around this! so a few posts ago, i mentioned that i never really got team rocket and whatever they were about. well, i'm currently on bulbapedia and it's starting to make sense to me now. from their page:

Team Rocket (Japanese: ロケット Rocket-dan, literally Rocket Gang) is an organized crime syndicate in pursuit of evil and exploitation of Pokémon based in the Kanto and Johto regions with a small outpost in the Sevii Islands.
While its main focus is stealing or capturing, then selling, rare and strong Pokémon, it also funds and conducts cruel experimental research on Pokémon.
and that is right in line with everything they do in the games. at first i couldn't think of a time that they were selling pokemon, but then i remembered how you could get pokemon as prizes in the game corner. and then there was the whole thing in azalea town with the slowpoke tails. so it all comes together.

but then you have the anime, where Jessie, James, and Meowth have spent years trying to steal Ash's pikachu, while occasionally trying to steal some other pokeom along the way. i know there is the whole rest of the team (like Butch and Cassidy), but why did Giovanni have a three person team made solely for stealing pikachu? is he really that special? (pikachu is a he, right?)

but either way, they're still a pretty interesting group. i mean, so far they are the only criminal group to appear in more than one region and they got themselves together after their leader gave up on them. that's pretty admirable, even if they do steal pokemon...

got two questions:

have you ever played the classic Red and Yellow pokemon games , Those were really fun :)
yes i have. either pokemon red or yellow was my first pokemon game. some how i actually convinced my parents to buy my blue as well. i like the first gen games a lot and i played them for years.

I want to know how the new Pokemon games are different/better/worse than the originals. What else would you add or remove to make the game better?
i actually like the newer games a lot. i will admit that i'm biased on gen four because it had been a while since i'd  played a pokemon game (i skipped gen three and i don't know why). so far i'm enjoying gen five, but it's taking me a while to get used to the new pokemon.

the question about red and blue got me thinking about team rocket. to be honest, i never really got their motivation and everything, especially in the anime.. i plan on talking about this in my next post.

question for you guys: who do you think the best pokemon villains are? i think right now mine are team plasma, for at least trying to sound like they were doing a good thing.

yay!

if you are looking for the pokemon blog this is it.

first post on the new blog! i got two questions:

Will these strange pocket creatures aid me in the destruction of the human race?
They very well could. it is rumored that Arceus created the pokemon who made the universe after all. but i warn you: if you decide to go through with it, you will most likely be thwarted by a young pokemon trainer. it's happened many times before

Also, in your opinion, what is the worst new pokemon in the fifth generation?
so far i've only been through three towns in the game, so i have seen enough pokemon to make that assessment just yet. i will say that the most annoying one i've seen so far is Patrat. I'm pretty sure i won't be liking Woobat much either, if they pop up a lot like Zubat did.

thank you for the questions. if you have anything you want me to cover, or any more questions, leave them in the comments.
and a question for you guys: i was thinking about doing a thing where i tell you about how i'm doing in my pokemon games. would you be interested in that? i'm currently playing Platinum, Soul Silver, and Black. i would add Diamond in there too but it would be too redundant, i think (i'm just training for the elite four).
